Monkey Business
Zuri goes to the zoo. She wants to see the animals. She likes the monkey most. The monkey has brown fur and a long tail. The monkey jumps up and down. It makes funny faces at Zuri. Zuri laughs. The monkey picks up a banana. It peels the banana very slowly. Then it throws the peel on the ground! Zuri points and says, “Look at the funny monkey!” The monkey sees Zuri pointing. It jumps down and comes close to the glass. It puts its hand on the glass. Zuri puts her hand on the glass too. The monkey jumps back and claps its hands. Zuri claps her hands too. The monkey turns around in a circle. Zuri turns around in a circle too. The monkey puts its hands on its head. Zuri puts her hands on her head too. Other people start to watch. They laugh at Zuri and the monkey. The monkey picks up another banana. It gives half to its baby monkey. Then it waves at Zuri. Zuri waves back. It is time to go home. “Bye-bye, funny monkey,” says Zuri. The monkey waves one more time. Zuri is happy. She wants to come back to see her new friend again.
